I started looking at Outbacks in 2008 or so, even test drove one at the dealer (in 2008), but hadn't gotten around to getting one. My Toyota pickup refused to die! It's actually still running at 18 years old, but someone else has it now...

Anyway, my wife has had 5 Subarus now, all but the last (current) one acquired with high mileage. I got even more interested when my mom got an '09 Impreza.

I had to have one, so I finally settled on a 2008 2.5i Outback (4 speed auto) with 27,600 miles on it! I had the Carmax dude rack it for me so I could check out the underside for corrosion, etc. and it was like a new car...wow.

Well, I've had it about a week now and I love it Big Time; It's even cooler than I thought it would be.

I just can't believe I own this car!!!

Toyota pickups don't refuse to die. They simply can't. They're the vampires of the auto industry.
