I’m curious how much below MSRP or Invoice on these models? Also where is the best place to get accurate Invoice pricing for said years.
Thanks

Is $3k under invoice for a left over 2013 Outback a "deal" at this point?
Well...I ended up just slightly better than that, and because it was a left over 2013, Subaru subsidized 0% financing for 4 years.

According to the dealer checklist I found in the glove box, this car arrived at the dealership in January. I don't understand how it hung around for 11 months and only had about 300 miles on it when I bought it.
I'm picking up my '14 outback cvt, limited, eyesight, nav, appearance pkg, all weather mats, wheel arches, etc for $30,788 tomorrow or Friday. Loved the carbide grey color but I didn't think the saddle brown leather looked good together....so I chose the satin white. This will be my fifth subaru since 1991.

First post. Been spending a lot of time on here for research. Thanks to everyone on the forum. By the time I went in to the dealer I knew more then the salesmen. Thanks to you guys. Anyways

$29,131 with registration and fees. 0.9% financing and 2 free Season Passes to Timberline!! So happy to be a Subaru owner again. Have had a legacy wagon and a 02 WRX before but it's been 5 years to long without one.
2014 Outback 2.5i with alloy wheels

$22,293 plus tax, tags, title and doc fee.

Also included floor mats and the rear bumper guard.

I priced through Costco and BJs and received quotes ranging from $23k to $23.5. We visited an "all brands" massive dealer in the area that offered "rock bottom pricing" and they offered $22.6k going through their Mazda dealership. I contacted the Subaru dealership which was part of this massive dealership directly and they offered $22.4k. I contacted a local "we will beat anyone" dealership who demanded a VIN number and copy of the quote and they took it down to $22.3k I went to the original Costo Subaru dealership with the $22.4k quote and they dropped to $22,239. Overall it took 2 days of emailing and maybe 4 phone calls.

I met with a salesperson today at a dealership. He told me as of today they are offering 0% financing on Outbacks (only). I am wondering if that is because they want to move them before the 2015s are announced?

From cars101
Current:
new Outback 0%-24-36 mos, .90%x48-60-63mos, 1.90% x72 mos
You may be able to beat these rates dependent on your credit score
I managed to get 1.69% for 72 mos in December.

I am wondering if I waited to buy until after they announce the 2015 if I could get a better deal. I am not in much of a hurry. Also, I was planning on paying cash.

It is interesting that the 0% is for Outbacks only.

only time will tell.
it's supply and demand.
Subaru can control supply to limit production for 2014 based on outstanding inventory, I think they can.
the next for you to look for multiple dealerships and quote at the end of month and Q, they may give you better deal as they need to make some sales to meet some numbers.

Downside with this game is you limit yourself with car options and color and by the time is close to 2015 model you might just not able to find "your" car available.

Currently you can check almost real-time inventory to forecast about supply.
I think that demand has to go down on Outback after no snow anymore.

Make time work for you ...
bought a used 2013 Premium with 34,000 (previous owner a pharma rep) for 22,000 even (Salem Oregon) Feel it was a fair deal--our budget for a new (used) car was 13-15k to begin with, thus 22 was already well outside what we desired to pay, thus making the bump another $1-2-3k for a new one was just too much. Plausible to get the price down perhaps another $1k? but at that point we were really just ready to move on and be done with the car buying process.
