This is tucked behind the glove box along the firewall on the passenger side of the car. I found this in my Impreza too, but on the driver side (if I remember correctly). Both were unplugged when discovered.

Thanks for the replies and information. They are tucked away, I found them (whiloe changing my cabin filter) and remembered them from my Impreza so I figured it was something intentional.
