I am gearing up to do maintenance on my 60k mile engine before swapping it into my 02. Headgaskets, timing belt, separator plate, etc. I have a fairly good idea what needs to be done with it. My question is about the transmission. The one currently in my 02 slips a good bit when cold, so I'll be swapping the trans out at some point.

Is there anything within reason I should do with the trans and front diff before swapping it in? I'm not going to do a full rebuild, but is there is something common that I have to worry about down the line that is much easier to do with the trans out of the car, then I want to do it.

Any suggestions?
Thank you
