I did my first tire rotation on my 2012 Outback at 6k. While doing so I noticed every rim had a LOT of stick on weights on the rims some more than others, one as many as 15 or more. Each had a weight that clips over the edge of the rim on the inside. I have never seen so many weights on rims before. I'm wondering if they are just to balance the rim, or could the OEM tires be that out of balance? Or could it be to counter balance the TPM's? And no, I'm am not going to put on different tires to find out. The OEM's are just fine, no vibration at all. Smooth as glass.
