3rd winter with my '12 and when it gets below 20F on cold start when de accelerating I get a whining noise for the first 2-3 stops before car warm-ups.
It drives me nuts, it's like a cat looking for a male .
This guy has same problem with a 07:

Anyone can pinpoint the cause?

Is it common for every Subaru? It didn’t happened on my old car , a Matrix.

Also, I'm trying to do the math. You say that this is your third winter with your 2012 Subie. Three years ago would be the winter of 2009/2010. Was your car sold to you by Doc Brown with a flux capacitor option and a power source for 1.21 gigawatts?

It is a ’11, I was trying to make it younger  . Anyhow- thanks for the sarcasm, highly appreciated!
