Who here has a outback with a 2.5L turbo that was originally a non turbo car?

What kit did you use, and are you happy with the results? I am looking for a turbo kit for my '04 outback with a 2.5L automatic. Thanks in advance.

Anyone have experience with these: SUBARU LEGACY OUTBACK 1998-2004 1999 SINGLE TURBO KIT : eBay Motors (item 180497885046 end time May-22-10 12:24:57 PDT)

$550 ?

Must be some Chinese knock off of a t4 ... a Garret or Turbonetics is between $800-1500 just for the turbo. A decent intercooler new is $500 +++

I'd take a pass on this

Honestly, while you can turbo a non turbo [my rail was a NA 2.2 with a turbo @ 9-13psi and it did fine ... didn't weigh much. My 6.0 truck is supercharged, works fine], You would be better served to get a turbo motor complete and a ecu to match. These things have enough issues with head gasket failure without raising the cylinder pressure by multiples with unsupported cylinder walls.

Trade it in on a h-6 or a turbo model and you'll be much happier.

I was going to suggest a dry nitrous setup but, same cylinder/head issues.

This is about what you would expect to pay for a reliable full kit for a NA motor
