Hey all,

I've found the nav system to be fairly useless on my '07 OBXT. I still use the MPG indicators, and various trip odometer settings, but that's about it.

I'd like to take out the nav system and put in a double-din. Is this doable? I couldn't really find anyone who has done this; I've only seen posts where folks have installed the JDM double-din kit that replaces the stereo.

So, to summarize: double-din in the nav slot - does it work ?

Thanks

There is a kit that provides a full double-DIN bracket for the upper dash hole in the 2005-2009 Outback. I don't have a part number but I know it exists.

The kit requires that you relocate the fuel/time computer into the ashtray position, if equipped.

There's 2 kits, one is cheaper and for non ATC cars, and one for ATC cars. The one for ATC comes directly from Japan, is plug and play, and is $400! It also switches what side your hazard switch is on.
