My '05 Outback had a minor fender bender which required changing the left front fender and since the windshield was already cracked I decided to replace it at same time. Now that the car is back on the road it has a wind noise that was never there before, it starts at 25 mph and increases with speed. It seems to be coming from dash/firewall area. I have this rubberized foam piece left over after doing the repairs and wondering if goes somewhere below windshield or under fender to block airflow or something? Does anyone know where this piece might be supposed to be placed ???? 😳 It's about 16" long.

There's a piece of foam between the fender and the front door post that might have the same shape. It can be seen by opening the door and looking forward toward the front wheel. It might be missing. (Compare your driver and passenger side).
