Hey guys,

I've been having this annoying problem since I got the car - the drives side window doesn't go all the way up when pressed with the button.

However, if I open the door, it will -- what needs to be fixed/replaced on this?

Check your window /door Seals.

If itll go up with the door open.. Chances are your Seals are just old and have dropped a bit from where they used to be. I've noticed with my 98 the same issue especially if it rained that day.

Seals aren't expensive and if youre trying to do it on a budget.. You might be able to get away with a universal seal kit which you will just cut to fit.

I'd also compare the speed/power w/other windows on the car. If the driver's is the slowest/weakest, it could be the window motor OR the grease has worn out/thinned out that lubes the window's raise/lower mechanism (can't recall the name).

SEARCH on here for DIY to fix the lube and/or the motor. If possible, I'd just swap the motor from another door.....unless you got $$ burning a hole in your pocket. :)
