Just wanted to remind everyone that WRC Rally Mexico is this weekend 3/12-14.

Day one is underway (through 1 stage I think) and Petter Solberg had an 8 second lead, but Stage 2 is in process.

Delayed coverage can been seen on The Speed Channel this Sunday at 9:30pm

Or you can follow it at www.wrc.com

I guess I'll have to go over to Mom's house on Sunday night! I'm too cheap to pay for cable.

Blue Ridge, I love that pic of the WRC04 car! It is such a beauty that I got to lay eyes on at Chicago. I just need to get one in my dirveway now :D Hmmm... I wonder if they'll give 1.9% APR on that one as well :p

I think they could sell it at 0% and the payments would still be murder

Of course but I'd be the coolest kid on my block by having a WRC car! :D

Well, Solberg finished 4th, gathering 5 Championship points despite a 5min 40sec penalty for being pushed into the time control at the end of leg 1. He would have won the rally easily if not for that. Petter is now in 5th place in the Championship standings with 13 points, 7 points behind Loeb. Solberg set 9 of the 15 fastest stage times.

All and all a pretty amazing result for the defending World Champ considering what happened on day 1.

Teammate Mikko Hirvonon finished 5th in the rally.
