Yeah that's for an Outback SPORT. Not the same animal.

They're attached with studs with nuts from inside the hatch. Holes must be drilled and things waterproofed afterward. Not incredibly difficult.

They're rather hard to come by. I haven't found an aftermarket one yet in spite of them being available for lots of other cars (put one on the GF's Altima recently). They were a factory-installed piece on a lot of cars, so they *should* still be available from the dealer but most likely at a premium.

I bought a whole hatch in color with one already attached and just bolted it on. Probably a bit extreme but they're kind of a PITA to transplant and I needed a good non-spoiler hatch for another car anyway.
