There is a rear spoiler available the for the gen II Outback cars, it fits at the top of the rear window. I saw a car with this in Florida the other day, and I think it looks cool. I'm sure it is factory, but I cannot find a picture with this.

On eBay, there is one advertised as for the Outback, but I think it is a mistake:

02-07 SUBARU IMPREZA/OUTBACK WAGON REAR SPOILER | eBay

Does anyone have one for sale that they don't want? Does anyone know what there is to attaching this spoiler to the car?

THANX in advance!
appears to be for the Impreza wagons (including Outback SPORT)like on my WRX.

sometimes , I kinda want a hip spoiler too - but then I think about drilling more holes in my car, and the potential for people to abuse it in parking lots by placing empty drink cans on it or something HAH!;

Our 2000 has one. I like it pretty well, the purpose I always thought was to direct wind down over the rear window to keep road grime down.

A couple of things I don't like about it just so you know. I do get a slight bit of road howl at highway speeds and I am certain it comes from this spoiler. Maybe all outbacks of this gen do but this sounds like a wind hum you get from after market roof racks like Thule or Yakima.

Also, if you run a cargo box up top or kayaks and canoes, the spoiler will hit these when opening the rear hatch. This makes cargo access that much harder when traveling with items on the roof.

Ours is the factory body color spoiler and not the tinted plastic after market one you sometimes see.

These are not major issues by any means but thought you may could use the info.

I used to get a very loud/musical howl with my 06 WRX (uh, at very high speeds) - narrowed it down to wiper blades. Now I have 08 STI blades and they are noise free. very nice 'aero' design actually.
