I have a 2018 Outback, and earlier this week the Check Engine (yellow-steady), Cruise control and X-mode lights (yellow-blinking) came on.

The gas cap was loose and I tightened it 2 days ago, but lights are still on. I have been putting the E-88 gasoline in the car the last few weeks, and I'm wondering if that might be the problem, or if there's something else going on.

What are the codes?

Codes normally only “reset” after several “normal drive cycles” (which usually involve around a 20 to 40 minute run without setting another code).

From memory you need to do four or five “normal drive cycles” before the codes reset.

Of course you can also reset with a diagnostic/service scanner and sometimes by removing the battery lead for around 30 minutes.
