Just ordered a pair. I've been wanting these since my last OB, just never made it happen. Can't wait to be able to leave the windows cracked without worrying about it raining. Summers here are brutal.
badfish - let us know, after installation, how the noise level has changed.
If not much of a difference in 'highway speed', I will order.
Tks.

i'm telling you, these dont work. nothing works on frameless doors. i have had these on my galant, and i have them on our mazdas, which have framed doors. they work great. on the subie, they dont do anything. actually, i think they contribute to more wind/rain/snow(yup, snow) coming in, because they sit so high, if you open the window just a tad, they direct the wind into the car. i can leave the windows on the mazda open about 2 inches, out in a driving rain, and nothing comes in. i have left the soob out in the rain/snow, and there will be water and snow inside, ALL the time. driving? nope. save your money, unless you want decorations

I installed the rain guards yesterday after work. I received them about two weeks ago. Ordered them on a Sunday and received them on Wednesday, so +1 for speedy shipping. I didn't install them right away because the instructions said the adhesive cures best above 65 degrees. I was going to wait until the temps got in the area of 65, but I am impatient when it comes to stuff like this. Each night I swear I could hear them calling to me from the garage "Install us...Installlllll us" So yesterday I pulled the car in the garage and cranked up a space heater. Everything went pretty smooth. I will probably to an installation report with mock install photos in the next couple days. I didn't think about it until I had one side done, and at that point I didn't want to stop to go get the camera.

Anyways, I drove in this morning and couldn't notice a difference in wind noise. My commute does not involve the interstate, so I only got up to about 55 mph for a couple of miles. I'm sure there is a slight difference, but I wouldn't notice unless I could flip a switch to toggle between having them and not having them. I should mention that I have a Yakima rack with a fairing and 76" bars that stick out almost as far as the side mirrors. Most of the time, including right now, I have a Thule box on the car as well. I can't even tell the difference when I take the box off or put it on anymore. When I bought my first OB, a '99, I didn't have the fairing. The first time I drove it on the interstate I knew I needed a fairing because of the howl from the rack was awful. I can't imagine the rain guards making that big of a difference.

I'll have to wait for it to rain to see how they do at keeping water out with the windows cracked. I'll give updates when I can.

I've driven on the interstate a few times now up to 80 mph and I can't notice a difference in wind noise with these installed.

I am having an issue with the windows hitting them now. The temperature has been much colder in the mornings, so I think that may have something to do with it. That, and the fact I installed them with as little clearance as I could manage.

When I installed them I kept opening and closing the door and adjusting the visors as close to the window as possible for better protection from the rain. The driver side windows didn't touch at all and had about 1/16" - 1/8" clearance. Both windows on the passenger side barely touched at some point while opening and closing. I used a fine grit sandpaper to touch up these two spots, which were probably 1/2" long each. I checked them the next morning and they were touching in those spots again. The drivers side was touching too. It was about 26 degrees that morning. It was in the 50's when I installed them. So I'm not sure if they "settled" a little lower overnight or if the plastic has contracted because of the colder temps. It's not bad, so I'm gong to leave them alone until it warms up and see if it goes away.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been around in a while. Life has been getting in the way. To answer your question, these guards do seem to work. It's been about 8 years since I've had a vehicle with rain guards, so I can't give an honest comparison between these and a vehicle with framed windows. I know that if I were still a smoker, I could lower my window enough to flip ashes. The key is to mount them as low as possible. I mounted mine with 1/16" - 1/8" clearance in some places, and after curing there were a couple of places where the window grazed the guard. I just took some sandpaper and lightly sanded those spots.

Anyone know if these are available anywhere else? I just bought an 07 2.5i and would really like these.

Thanks in advance.
