The Crystal Black Silica with the Black Leather Interior on the Limited trim is really pretty sharp...was very happy to hear they are offering the black/black combo which was not available when I bought my 2011 Legacy Limited that will be traded in for the 2015 OB.

There should be more photos soon(anyone know why there aren't any reviews yet?) but right now it's hard to know how all of the colors look in real life. The color changer on the Subaru website doesn't appear to be very accurate and the gallery doesn't show many different colors. I'd like to see the green and tungsten in person.

The ice silver looks like baby blue IMO. It's not straight silver. There is the dark gray (Carbide) but it's not silver. The Tungsten is not nearly as "gold" as it looks online. In person it actually has a silverish appearance.
I traveled to Rockford, IL to check out a couple '15s there, I did see this silver premium. It really did have a hue of light blue when I looked at it as well.

I'm a big fan of Tungsten but don't like the lighter interior so I'll go with Twilight Blue with black interior. The new green color looks terrific as well.
A couple of folks who have seen the green in person have expressed disappointment. The Automobilemag published a review today and it had a good many shots of a green colored 3.6R. I thought they looked ok. But I am going for the Lapis Blue.

The sky blue on my 2012 OB was my favorite color and the second car I've owned that color.
They should bring it back.

Thanks for the link. That is really helpful to see so many shots of the various colors.
It should help some who haven't seen Wilderness Green in person yet. I admit to being quite disappointed in it. The paint chip colors I had seen earlier never prepared me for anything like it. I actually thought it must be a different model because it was so different from my expectations.

In balance, while I may not hate it, I didn't like it either. It could grow on me, possibly. I did like the Lapis Blue but I'm not a fan of owning dark colors even if they are pleasing to my eye.
I'm probably going for Tungsten but might still consider Ice Silver. My 99 Forester is silver and it seems adept at appearing reasonably clean all the time, and then it really POPS when it actually gets a good wash. I've got much better things to do than wash my car, so it doesn't happen very often.
That will probably improve for awhile though, when I get a new one. :)

It's personal..

Color selection could be the one thing you order purely by "feel", but having bought a lot of cars I've applied some logic to the process.

We chose white because:

1) I believe it makes the car more visible and therefore less likely to be "missed" by other drivers in an emergency.

2) It reflects sunlight better than darker colors and therefore should keep the car cooler in the summer.

3) Shadows on white have more contrast than other colors, showing the car's body shape lines better.

4) To me, anyway, white cars don't show dirt nearly as much as darker cars, especially black and dark blue.

Besides, I like white.

ROFL, agree on every single point cohland. It's like you're reading my mind. One more point I would like to add, I do think white goes better with 2015 outback headlights. Every other color I saw accentuates headlights way too much, white one is the only one that keeps them looking nice.

I really like the Crystal Black Silica. I've wanted a black car for many years so I think I'm going for it with a 2015 Outback. I haven't seen the tan interior yet, but it will likely be my choice.

I am thinking of buying a 2015 Outback after a long history of buying Honda's. The Wilderness Green is growing on me but I've only seen pictures. Anyone who's seen it person know if it is a similar green to that was used on the circa 2007 Pilot?

I too am buying my first Outback after 17 years and 3 Hondas. I currently have a 2005 CR-V, but I don't care for the smaller version they have now, and the road noise in my car is brutal. I'm getting red. The Wilderness Green looks similar to the Pilot, maybe even a bit lighter.

Is the White the same Pearl White as it has been? I thought I read somewhere they changed it. I really want to see a Tungsten but 2 dealers and none on the lot, pics just are not the same, anyone have one and do you regret getting it. If I have to order without seeing I dont want to regret it....or I would just go White. I have the Brown Pearl and love the color but live in an area where it gets so dusty dirty and looks bad before the end of the day so Im looking for easy care color.

We originally put a deposit down on a white, but after seeing a 2014 outback in Tungsten, we changed to that. I think it would hide dust/dirt very well (better than white).

I'm not sure about the Crystal White Pearl being like the old, but I do know they changed the white. Even with the change, it is still not as "pearlized" as I thought it would be.

Thanks for the info...back to the dealers to find them.

Colour choice

I really like the Lapis Blue. It's a close match to the Subie badge (front & rear) and from photos, the lines & chrome trim highlight well. I had an '88 Monte Carlo in a similar colour so may have some bias that way.

Seems to me colours offered in previous years have tended to the pastel shades so happy to see this choice.

Glad they provide the interior in ivory. Colour scheme is like that of my '98 Forester S and the 3.6R Limited has me obsessed now.
