Guess we wait for the "Suprise! You have and update and you have update" when you shut the engine off.
AND as a bonus .... you can bypass the update twice and then we will nuke your system automatically

Checked my '24 - not there yet....and I'm not holding my breath waiting. It will be there when it gets there. "Soon" could be tonight, next week or 3 months from now.

 

 

I also missed 'soon'. I was going to look for it in a little bit, but will abort that now. Ha ha. But somebody said no AVH 'button', and no noticeable changes, so not sure what the heck Subaru changed. And apparently we don't have a choice about installing it (which really sucks), so hope nothing goes wrong.

my car reported it been updated... was no option to pause it or cancel .. it still 033-681 after update

Got this as well and now the STARLINK app on the Home Screen is grayed out.

 

The update popped up while I had arrived at a friends.
I started the update and went in to visit with my friend
By the time I left my friend the update had finished.
I made a phone call to my wife to verify communication was working

checked car location with the Subaru app

things seem to be working fine.

Would be interested in the details of what the update did

 

Just installed a similar update. Now the seat heaters are controlled from the main screen.

 

Speculation: the Starlink in the DCM was removed, but the actual infotainment hasn't been updated yet. I'm willing to bet the icon will disappear with a new infotainment update instead of a DCM update.

 

STARLINK was grayed out for 6+ month, it got nothing to do with current update

I did the DCM update this morning and now the button to turn on the front camera is gone. is there a way to access it?

 

Front camera has a hard button next to the shift lever. At least on my '24. Not sure what you're talking about.

 

Do you have a software button instead of this?

 

I had heard that the software updates would be found if my car is connected to my home Wifi.
1. Is this true? I thought it would be through Starlink?
2. Is there a way to connect to my home Wifi? I only see a method to create a hotspot. I have Starlink Multimedia (not Navigation).

My current software on my '24 is F61WMM033-681

 

No, 23/24 no-NAV cars don't have option for home Wifi conection at all , its only on NAV units for MAP updates only
