I really like AVH. But like Start/Stop, the default is OFF. Phewy😠
I mean, your toilets also run in the wrong direction, so no surprise here.I'm not sure about the 2020 model in Australia but my 2018 Outback's default setting is AVH on,
My setting stays off, like yours, but I have never suspected that AVH was turning itself on. Could you be more specific about what to look for? I'm wondering if either mine is turning itself on and I'm not noticing (is it subtle??) or if yours is behaving very differently, or if maybe your sticky braking issue is not AVH but something else, like a sticky caliper?Sometimes when I back out it's dis-engaged, maybe 60% of the time, but the other 40%, it just kicks-in, despite the s/w setting being OFF, still, clearly there's a default-firmware-bug here.
I probably wouldn't have quite so much disdain for it, if I could set it and have it stay off, but that's just not in the cards, at this point in the firmware cycle. The 2020 is a REALLY buggy implementation, as a 30+ year s/w and h/w engineering guy...
Starting p 363I cannot find any reference of that in manual.
