Two weeks ago I remote started our 2020 Limited XT in cold weather (minus 15 degrees F), then got into it approximately 5 minutes later. I was surprised to see numerous warning lights including Check Engine and AT Oil Temp. After dropping it into drive, wheels spun as if the transmission had lost its ability to divide power across all 4 wheels.
Time was short to make a critical appointment so I chose to drive it 3 hours, the entire time the dashboard continued to display what I concluded were meaningless warnings (yes I know I took a chance here), see attached pic.
I found a Subaru dealer at my destination who agreed to take a look. The service advisor came out soon after advising all was well. He explained the tech had done some sort of reset and that "this sometimes happens during cold weather starts due to a temporary voltage drop", even though nothing was actually wrong.
The problem has not reappeared, but this has shaken my confidence in what I considered a reliable "new" car (< 30K miles), especially since I live in a cold weather area.
Anybody out there had a similar experience? If so did you get a different response from the dealer, including them considering it a warrantee issue?
Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
