Hello folks, I already have this fluid for my other vehicles.
I need to get more automobile education from you, with more experience.

1. Wondering if the Castrol Transmax would work for my 2002 H6.
2. The AT filter, must it be a Subaru OEM?
I found these from RockAuto.

3. On this forum, I think I was advised not getting auto parts from Amazon.
Would this Subaru OEM and Beck/Anley AT filters from Amazon not be good?

My only reason for suggesting against Amazon is that I have received counterfeit products from them before on more than one occasion. Of course if it's a generic item anyway, I'm not concerned about this, but in cases of I'm buying something because it is a brand I count and depend on, then ...
Be vigilant.

Many aftermarket companies replace a $40 Subaru ATF filter with a $5 oil filter....which worries me. I haven't done much research beyond that, the couple times I've needed one, I just bought a Subaru one.

They call for Dexron III, which is the most common ATF available (usually listed as Dex/Merc). Every brand offers a compatible fluid, available at every retailer. Pick your favorite. Subaru HP replaced it, and is backwards compatible, so that is fine, too. I buy 2.5 gallon jugs at Fleet Farm....

A lot of counterfeit parts on Amazon and Ebay. Spark plugs, filters, and more. If you care about what filter you're getting, don't get it on Amazon.
