@O.C.CA4thGenOutback3.6R,

My wife and I were discussing this, and we don’t notice much difference than the oem, other than the lack of body roll - we feel potholes a bit more on the overload springs but that’s about it.
I still have to get it aligned at a shop after adding the overload springs and subframe spacers, we are noticing a vibration when we take the car over 80 on the highway now.
I'm still waiting for RAllitek to have these B( for the 5th gen Outback, but reading in other post and also confirmed with the Rallitek support, that vibration is from a resonance from the transmission. The following transmission base insert fix it: Transmission Mount Insert Bushing - Fits 2015-2019 Subaru Outback & Le

If you prefer change the base, also Rallitek sell the base with the insert already installed: Transmission Mount W/ Insert Bushing - Fits 2015-2019 Subaru Outback a

Got mine installed on my 2017 Outback this weekend. I swapped out the parts from the existing shocks and, with the exception of cranky sway bar end link that fought me, the job went pretty easy.

I’m running 235/65 x 17 Wildpeaks on WRX rims and I am loving these. I took the car it and had it aligned right after I finished and the ride quality is great. The suspension feels firm and solid in a good way minus the squishy feeling of the stock shocks.

Nothing rubs and the tires look centered so Bilstein was spot on with their design. Tools that made the job easier were Milwaukee’s M12 Stubby impact, which had no issues with any of the suspension bolts, and a pass through ratchet for tightening the top bolt on the struts.

I have to say I’m a happy camper at the moment.
Could you post pictures of the before and mostly after installing the shocks?

I have a Japan model from 2018 (I live in Panama and here are sold the ones imported from Japan) and after installing the shocks I also want to change the Tires for a 245/65 R17, locally I'm looking the best cost/quality relation between BF Goodrich, Michelin or Pirelli, oriented to a 70% street 30% off-road type of tire.

I'm waiting for Rallitek to start selling this shocks with their springs (pre-assembled), FYI they told me that will be between this month and the next one they are testing it before start selling the B8 TerraSport but they already have it with them.

Also thinking in a sub frame drop kit from Rallitek to keep centered the rear wheel, plus a 20mm tire spacer from Perrin to keep the same Subaru 17" rins but give then a better look.

For course, when I have news I can update you ;)

Hi all,

For those like me that have a Gen 5 and were looking these struts, Bilstein B8 Terrasport, from Rallitek I have bad news. They finally will not selling them, here the response from them I receive last week:

"We will not be making one. The Bilstein B8 struts have less travel than the OEM struts which is not good for offroad. This is something we just found out and so we still recommend the B6's with lift spacers over anything else. This will provide the best lift, alignment, performance, and ride quality out of anything on the market."

So for Rallitek you will go only with the B6 for the Gen 5, base on that at the end I will go with the Ironman 4x4 2" lift kit, wish me luck that I see in this Youtube comparison Comfort or Performance - Drastically Different Ride Behaviors (Rallitek vs Ironman lift kits) the B6 has less travel and for someone like me thtr is not for a Specialized off-road setup are more comfortable ;)
