Ceramic coating over tint film?

Tinting goes on the inside of the windows. I got 3M nano ceramic 50% on the windshield and front windows, 90% on the rears To help block UV rays But not make them any darker.

For the problem of water spots, check out Griot’s garage products for cleaning and polishing glass. Then finish it with their glass sealant. It should help a lot.

We had terrible water spotting on our 2023 Outback, was told by the detailer that it is the coating that either the dealer or the factory puts on the windows. I had him polish all the glass and ceramic coat all the glass, we have had no issues with water spots. I also as a precautionary step, switched from using tap water in the washer reservoir to using distilled water in case the tap water was contributing to the issue. As noted above, window tint is normally applied to the inside and should not be part of the equation.
Water spotting is usually a result of minerals in tap water remaining after water has evaporated. using distilled water or a water softening system will decrease or eliminate the issue. Or towel off the vehicle asap after washing/rinsing and keep it wet until drying.

you can purchase a Total Dissolved Solids meter on Amazon and test your tap water. For my area it’s in the 220ppm (parts per million) range which enough to leave lots of water spots.
