Hey everyone, Mike here from CARiD. As your vehicles get some miles on them, one of the best things you can do is regular oil changes. While you can always take your car into the shop, doing it yourself at home is often much more affordable and satisfying.

I put together the list of some handy oil change items (all the basics you need - oil, filter, drain pan, etc). Doing it in your own garage only takes about 30 minutes or so once you get the hang of it. Just make sure to refer to your owner's manual on the oil grade and capacity your manufacturer recommends.
