So I was changing the front/read differential fluids this weekend and noticed slight oil leaks in various locations in the front of our 2017 Outback 3.6R Limited. We've owned this since new and it has ~ 85K miles. Has been regularly serviced by our local Subaru Dealership and has the 10yr/100K mile extended warranty. This is the first differential fluid change as our Sub Tech center never wanted to do that on the 30K & 60K scheduled maintenance that we've had done like clockwork.
I know it was past due... so just did it myself w/some good Amsoil 75W-90.
Anyhow, here are the pics ... there is never any oil on the ground and you'd never know it unless you remove that huge plastic under cladding.
Front Drivers side cam covers have light oil build-up/covering and various places along the oil pan. Front of Diff has oil coating as well. Passenger side looks clean. I check the oil levels regularly just to be safe and they're good. (I have been working on my own cars for decades before buying this Subaru new and getting it serviced at Subaru to keep it under warranty).
Any ideas or areas of concern are appreciated.
