What type of frequencies should I expect on the stock subwoofer output wiring in the rear cargo area?
I want to add a new sub to increase the bass, I'm fine with how the rest of the system sounds.
(Well, what I really want to do is put my gigantic dual 12-in subwoofer box in the back!)
What's the crossover point for all the door speakers?
And how much equalizer garbage is going on from the head unit on that subwoofer output?
Is it even worth bothering trying to get another small sub to wire up?
I know what I'm doing and have wired sound systems before, I will be actively powering it.
Unless y'all think another free-air sub running off the what? MAYBE 50w output of the stock connector would hold me over until I put in the money and effort to change out to a new head unit and do all the JDM bezel bullshit?
On a related note although my system has the HK setup, the factory sub is missing!
There is also Dynamat in the spare tire area, so I have a feeling the previous owner, potentially years ago, had a custom sub setup in the car.
But there is no aftermarket wiring to be found.
