No Apple iPhone 12/13 USB-C connection

The world revolves around Apple users, didn't you get the memo? But seriously, a USB A to USB C adapter cable works perfectly on my Android phone and it indicates fast charging, albeit not 20 watts. To be candid, people have problems with high charging voltages and simultaneous phone use generating heat. The lower charging amps could be better. If you were using an iPad then yeah you'd want higher charging.
People should charge their phone at home, if they want fast charging. 20w with apple will charge 50%. I use car to top off if needed only.

Few vehicles have USB-C connections. The simple solution is ... a Lightning to USB cable. There's nothing different about the iPhone. It's still a Lightning cable at the phone. The only thing that has changed is that the new phone comes with a different cable. (and no charger) If you want to use an existing Apple charger, you need a different cable...the same one that you'd need in your Subaru. Subaru has provided the necessary power...you need to provide the connection from your personal device.
Hmm, and all this time, reading this thread, I thought we where trying to solve cold fusion...[emoji16] it seems like this is more of an issue of understanding one's iPhone and it's charging options.

I want to alert you to an issue with USB-A to USB-C cables. Not all of them will give maximum power. Some cables have such thin power wires that they create enough resistance to decrease voltage of the connection, so I have a USB voltage tester and it can determine which cables transmit more voltage and amps than others. I throw away all cables that decrease voltage so that I don't use them by mistake. It's similar to this one:

Related to this, in general longer cables 6m, 9m, etc will not charge as fast. Apple claims their 6m cable charges as fast as their 3m cable because they use thicker gage, some user testing has show that to not quite be the case.

Does anybody reading this have experience with charging an iPhone 12 on the USB-A Subaru dash charger? How long does it take, compared with a fast wall charger for the iPhone 12?
It will take about 2 hours and 8 minutes to fully charge your 12 if it is less then 10%. It will take about 3.6 hours to fully charge with your Subaru.

That’s because Apple is important (and popular) and Android is the other kid on the block… at the end of the street… where there are no street lights… electricity… or plumbing.
Only in the U.S. Android has the most global share....
