This is the badge that goes on the Subaru Ascent. I got my hands on one and mounted it. Maybe tinfoil hat, but the company interest in the Wilderness model, maybe they wanted to downplay the Onyx?

 

After researching it (trim levels) thoroughly, I concluded the Onyx XT is the best combination / value. And without a doubt, I made the right choice.

 

"folding side mirrors" Is that a bell or whistle?

I thought about slapping on the Onyx badge from the Ascent, but it was like $50... so that idea was short lived. Besides I snag my microfiber drying towels enough on the car. It's always on the "K" in Outback and the front quarter glass trim.

 

I've considered debadging mine just because of that. So annoying!
