Thigh extender would be nice. Driver mitigation not so much. Side insulated glass would have been nice on the onyx. So would the HK system.

 

My 2 cents:

I really wanted an Onyx for looks, but I'm 6'4" and realized that the little thigh extender on the drivers seat in the Limited was really good ... so I got a Limited.

Initially I was focused on the black wheels and synthetic vs real leather aspects of the car... the thigh support is what pushed me to a Limited though.

 

OK, well my wife and I picked up our 2020 Limited XT yesterday so I though I would post a few pics ....The WRX is mine and the XT is my wifes.

The road noise in my 2021 Onyx XT is unacceptable....I wonder if the Limited and Touring are much quieter. I traded our 18 Limited which was much quieter.....I want it back.

 

My 2017 3.6 Touring was very quite. I was told the groves in the wheel fender was supposed to limit noise

This thread is almost 5 years old, and @wreck last login was almost 5 years ago, so you're not likely to get a response. He did say "...I have always paid cash..." so I'm going to guess that he amortized his purchase price over the expected life of the car.

 

I had a debate when I was buying my car this summer whether to get a wilderness or an onyx edition and really what it came down to was whether or not to get the factory navigation system which is optional on the wilderness and on the limited as well but it is not available at all whatsoever on the onyx edition.

 

Wilderness models look tacky with the gold and mostly unpainted bumpers, though

 

If I could've found copper colored wheels to match the copper accents I probably would have bought them. Different, I know.
