I put Rock Creek’s 36” stationary crate in my Onyx XT to commute with my service dog, a 70 lb lab. I had to give up the 60% rear seat, but I have safe access to the front and rear doors of the crate. With a stick-on rubber drawer bumpers on the unused tie down loops, it’s completely silent. The internal frame gives me peace of mind. And with a 4” Big Barker crate pad, my guy has a pretty good ride. He’s not a chewer, and never unattended in the car, so I cut a yoga mat to fit the side walls to protect from the hot metal in the summer.
