Fully realizing there are many posts (that I've searched) regarding DRL headlight issues, I still can't find a reference to where it is located on at '12 Outback Touring. Older generations indicate it's under the dash. Is that still the case? Thanks!

replace the relay with a 4 pin relay, or hack up the existing relay like in this post:

or, unplug the DRL resistor, it's near the battery in the engine compartment. May not be easy to get to. It's referenced in the above post. Picture of it later in the thread:

Thanks for your reply and for the thread references. I had my hands full today with headlight issues. Passenger side parking light, which could have been out a while. I had one on hand. Both low beams (H7's) were out. That was a treat. As I had my winter tires on, it was just easier to pull the wheels and the fender covers (lots of those pesky pins to pull, but I had the right tool). Crappy engineering for sure. Fortunately a store was open today so I was able to get the replacement bulbs and finish up that part of the challenge. As for the DRL, I found it on the driver side just above the windshield washer reservoir. If it's too hard to r/r from underneath, I'll just pull the wheel and fender cover again. I'll replace the DRL module when I get the part as its illegal where I live to drive without.
