2001 VDC, engine replaced, throws code p0333

So I had the engine replaced, H6 3.0, 85,000 miles on new engine. Mechanic is a Subaru guy. He's not super familiar with the H6. He pulled the intake manifold off bad engine and put it on new engine. It drives fine, engine runs strong. I was underneath and noticed the catalytic converter sensor is rusted off! I plan on replacing either bung with new sensor or just buy new cat and pipe. Would this cause the P0333 code? Its knock sensor bank 2 high output. Or could it be a bad knock sensor? I need to know where that sensor is located so I can test or replace.
Thanks

A "high" fault usually indicates that the voltage on the wire from the knock sensor, at the ECM, is higher than it should be. That could be caused by an open circuit in the wire between the TCM and the sensor, or in the sensor itself.

The sensors are under the intake manifold. See attached "2001 knock sensors" page.

I don't think the P0333 would result from the cat sensor problem.

Nope, unrelated. Took a chance using the low mileage but unknown sensor on the used engine (I would have done the same), and it's likely bad.

It is possible to physically damage it while swapping parts between the engines, but unlikely.
