Greetings:
We have a 2011 Outback 2.5l automatic 129000 miles
It all started 30 miles after getting gas / going at highway speeds....no other issues...a mile from home is when the Check Engine (Steady), Cruse Contor (Flashing), Brake (Flashing) and ATT Oil Temp (Flashing) all came on.....There was no road/driving issues, no change in performance on the drive. Checked gas cap....maybe could have been tighter and gasket is old but looks good. Engine oil good and Brakes good.....
Next morning, ATT Oil light off, but other lights on
Figured that it is the infamous "gas cap"

Borrowed a code reader from a buddie and here what it said:
P2762 1/06
P2763 2/06
P0700 3/06
with as second set
P2762 4/06
P2763 5/06
P0700 6/06
Cleared codes and warning lights went out. But after sitting for 15-20 minutes, all warning lights came back on.....

So.....do I give it a chance to reset itself after the customary 5-10 cycles assuming its the infamous gas cap issue?
Or head to the dealership? Our dealership in Pueblo so far has been good and not crazy on unnecessary services. But I have always done my own upkeep and non-dealership service stations.

Thanks for any advice!

and it may just need some parts vs. a newly re-manufactured trans.

was the fluid ever changed?

Thanks for the input.....
lights all cancelled out, but will check in with dealership. As I said, I there was no indication of an issue before and after. I am very suspect of sensors....slightest drop in voltage or a slight corrosion can cost thousand to diagnose a simple terminal connection cleaning.
The combo of warning lights is noted on most sights as indication of Gas Cap malfunction.....and resets after a # of cycles and miles. And yes, the fluid was changed about 15-20k ago by dealership.....and we do the maintenance by the book. Will get back when we get diagnostic from dealership and someone with "no mouths to feed"....

the internet's collective reaction to all lights is a gas cap on all fossil fuel powered cars.

so tighten the cap and then go on to whatever the real problem is.

do you have the original battery in this? at this time you may want to address that also. = now like 8 years old and decaying. (but such usually makes for more codes then you got)

and where do you get your ideas from that its $1000 for diagnostics and the cleaning of grounds? (dealers can be crooked,...but that is really CROOKED)

DTC P2762 LOCK-UP DUTY SOLENOID MALFUNCTION
DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
• Lock up clutch malfunction
• Hydraulic leaks or hydraulic valve stick of lock up system
• Hydraulic leaks or hydraulic valve stick of lock up ON/OFF valve system
• Lock up duty solenoid or lock up ON/OFF solenoid characteristics malfunction
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
• No lock-up occurs.
• Engine speed increases abruptly during driving.

DTC P2763 LOCK-UP DUTY SOLENOID CIRCUIT (HIGH)
DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
Output signal circuit of lock-up duty solenoid is open or shorted.
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
No lock-up occurs.

The fault causing the P2763 could also be causing the P2762, i.e., the torque converter lock-up clutch "malfunction". But as was noted, all these codes are transmission-related, and would not be caused by a bad gas cap.

It's not the combination of lights that count; it's the code(s) that are recorded. As also was noted, when the CEL comes on, for whatever reason, a number of other lights are also turned on because those systems are disabled, or limited in operation, when the CEL is on. For example, when the CEL is on, the cruise control is disabled (won't work).

However, that said, the AT Oil Temp light, being related to the transmission, is not likely to be turned on automatically when the CEL is on. The flashing AT Oil Temp light is the opposite. The AT Oil Temp light is probably the result of a problem detected with the transmission (the P2xxx codes). These, in turn, instruct the ECM to turn on the CEL (the P0700), and with the CEL on, the other lights are turned on as well.

Hi OP,
I was wondering if you can share the updates on how you dealt with the codes?
I have a 2010 Subaru Legacy that is experiencing the exact same codes, I had the valve body replaced with an independent mechanic (stupid, don't do it).
The lights are out now, but the car still doesn't feel right - vibration/hesitation between drive and reverse, sometimes I let my foot off the gas pedal during travel and it has this pseudo-stalling vibration.
Maybe it's just an old car and that's how it is - but I would like to hear how it has been for you since the code?
Thank you for reading.

I just found this forum, while looking for a solution to what appears to be the same shared issue. This past week my 2011 Outback 2.5 suddenly lugged when I attempted to accelerate from a stop. It acted as if the transmission was slipping. It did it again around 50-55 mph. About the 4th time is when the lights on the dash came on: flashing Cruise, check engine, Oil Temp., anti-traction, and one or so other(s). A colleague told me her 2012 Outback has done the same thing. Side note, each of our Outbacks also had recent blown headgaskets. A story for another time.
I haven't seen anyone state that their vehicle has lugged as if the transmission was slipping. My codes were ran at an O'Reilly's Auto, and were the P0700 & P2762. Anyone find the solution on this yet? I don't have the money to keep throwing at this car to get fixed, but especially don't for a newer vehicle that's reliable for the family.
