That model year is a bit new to expect i.e. Haynes and Chiltons to be on them. Alldatadiy.com may have it, and that is the same as the info you get from Subaru at techinfo.subaru.com You can certainly get the paper manuals from a dealer but even for them that is probably $300+ their price.

When I bought my last Honda 3 years ago, it was a lot easier. It was the 2nd year of that Gen. I could either buy from Helm inc, EBay or dealer.

 

I was looking around, on STIS it says "Currently, you can order owner or service manuals from the "Service Technical Information Company" Help Desk at 1-866-428-2278. You may also order manuals through your local Subaru Dealer."

 

Original Subaru OEM service manual downloads are on ebay for $11.99. But I suspect someone already PMed you a link for a free download.

I just found a great online resource for a bunch of different service manuals including outbacks.

This is where I got my copy. In my experience, that site is flaky. I've gone looking for it and it's been down, started downloads that fail mid-stream, and it's super slow...but if you can manage to get what you're after, it is a great resource. I only needed the '12 Ob/Leg, so that's all I can re-offer.

Nearly 7000 pages, but well worth the download. Good write up with diagrams of the bumper removal procedure, and even has info on the light sensor. It should be possible to delay the auto headlight circuit, there's enough info on how it works.

Just bumping this thread. Were you able to delay the auto headlight circuit? If so, how did it go?

 

Work in progress, just haven't had a chance to pull the sensor and tap in the capacitor. I think I have it figured out, just need to try it. Life just keeps getting in the way.... I have 50ft of boom mat for the rear quarter and lower doors that hasn't been installed yet either.

 

Just downloaded my service/repair manual from the site - no issues with site or speed (took maybe 1.5 minutes with my 25 Mbps download speed). Thanks!

I found my 2013 Outback service manual CD on eBay back in December 2016. I paid $11 for it. It was produced by a company called AutoNationTech. On the invoice their e-mail address is listed as autonationtech@gmail.com. Send them an e-mail and see if they reply.
