Nearly 7000 pages, but well worth the download. Good write up with diagrams of the bumper removal procedure, and even has info on the light sensor. It should be possible to delay the auto headlight circuit, there's enough info on how it works.
 
I just found a great online resource for a bunch of different service manuals including outbacks.

This is where I got my copy. In my experience, that site is flaky. I've gone looking for it and it's been down, started downloads that fail mid-stream, and it's super slow...but if you can manage to get what you're after, it is a great resource. I only needed the '12 Ob/Leg, so that's all I can re-offer.

Just bumping this thread. Were you able to delay the auto headlight circuit? If so, how did it go?
 
Work in progress, just haven't had a chance to pull the sensor and tap in the capacitor. I think I have it figured out, just need to try it. Life just keeps getting in the way.... I have 50ft of boom mat for the rear quarter and lower doors that hasn't been installed yet either.
