Good morning everybody! I tried to do a normally simple job and I found some bizarre fitting issues with my 2014 outback. The web sights call for 26” driver side and 19” passenger side. One provider on Amazon calls for 24/18. I bought Bosch 26 and 19, and installed them. The driver side is about two inches too long when the the wiper is fully exteneed. See the photo. I took the car in for wiper motor recall a couple weeks ago prior to the blade replacement. Could the shop have swapped out the actual wiper arms accidentally? I measured the arms from the top of J hook to bottom of the plastic cap covering the nut that holds them to the linkage. About 27” on the driver side, and about 22“ on the passenger. Can someone be so kind as to measure these arms on your Outback and see if that’s correct or maybe mine got swapped....... Thanks in advance!

on my 2010 the longer arm is on the passenger side. Almost 27in.
But the longer wiper blade is on the driver's side like you have it.

I would not have thought the arms would need to be removed to replace the wiper motor but apparently it does on this Subaru.
Thanks for checking Dukey. I suspect my 2014 is more similar to the ‘21 which Daniel responded about. I’m gonna try swapping mine out and see what happens thanks for your input I greatly appreciate it

Just did this on the 2014, using factree Subaru blades purchased on Amazon. 26" for the passenger side, 19" on the driver side and 14" for the back. Perfect. Cost was $32.

This is on a 'murican Subie, where the steering wheel is is on the left side, not on the wrong side ^^

Thanks for getting back to me. Looks like mine got swapped out at the dealer.....

2013 3.6R.

The drivers side is 26 inches and the passenger side is 19 inches. I typically purchase the Michelin High Performance wiper blades from Walmart. About $15 for the pair. They last about 2 years in our neck of the woods. Works for me.
