Does anybody have one or know where to get it? I tried STIS already.

It's part of the service manual. On the STIS site, searching for Service Manual, 2020, Outback etc, leads to one result, indicated as

479648

which isn't the service manual, but might be relevant in any case.

However, I just noticed that if, instead of selecting Service Manual, select Service Diagnostics (at the bottom of the check-off list), again, for the 2020, Outback etc, the result is:

479649

There's no document code, and in the past Subaru has had an HTML on-line service manual for each year. It could be accessed with a subscription, but there was no download. I don't know if that's what this result is, or if it is actually a downloadable full Service Manual, as is found for other years when selecting "Service Manual". EDIT: It is the HTML on-line version.

How badly do you need it (said partly in jest)?

Came across this website: 2020 Subaru Outback factory repair manual

Interesting that it states:
Why Buy Original OEM from us?
-Our website it is the only website who offer the OEM workshop manual in pdf version.
As of now, that seems to be [literally] correct. But it's strange that the 2020 .pdf FSM is not available on the STIS site this late in the model year. I wonder if calling them (https://techinfo.subaru.com/stis/#/contact_us) might be the way to find out if the absence is intentional and if it's permanent.

I would like to have a complete service manual and wiring diagram, but I can wait for that to come around later.

I am working on S/S system so I like to see the wiring of rear defroster, and de-icer area.
So I will know the wire colors without taking it apart.
I have a 2019 wiring diagram, but 11.6 MFD is a totally different monster. I also would like to know the location of electronic modules, such as climate cont., ECU, etc.

They are so scattered so it is hard to say which section I need. They are so integrated in so many ways.

Wow, this is great. Thanks.
Is there anyway you can find and locate the wiring diagram for the rear defroster switch? 11.6 MFD has a switch on upper right hand side of MFD. It is not a touch switch, it is a hard switch. I checked 2010 and 2015 and switch goes to different terminal of A/C CM, but both wire colors are same. W and WB. 2020, I think they use different A/C CM and different CAN scheme. I want to tap into those two wires coming out of physical switch.
Factory Manuals .com sells OEM service manuals allegedly for 2020 outback for $90. Without seeing samples, I don't know how accurate they are. If anybody got one, let me know whether it is a good one or not.

So from what i see that hard switch must send a signal into the can bus. the front relay control module turns the defroster on and off

Sorry to hijack this thread but this is infotainment related and may potentially change start/stop behavior. Can you find the TechInfo for:

2020 Subaru Outback TSB 15-261-20
Reprogramming File Availability for Optimization of Gen 4 Denso CP1 Infotainment Systems
March 10, 2020?

Thanks

I'm not at all surprised. Someone else just tried to get information on the audio components and similarly got rejected.
