2019 2.5 Limited question -
Is it possible to turn on Audio feedback (beeping) for blind-spot monitoring when there is a vehicle in the blind spot, and the turn signal has been activated? Instead of just flashing the yellow BSM indicator faster? This is a feature available in other vehicles and has proven very useful.
Also, the rear cross-traffic alert mechanism does provide audio feedback, so I'm wondering why BSM doesn't use it too?

This discussion has come up in the past. The answer is no, you can't turn it on, and they designed it that way on purpose.

In a large volume traffic town (such as Dallas), the darned thing would be beeping ALL the time. And then you'd have people complain that it was beeping, and how can you turn that annoying beep OFF. (It's also not been that useful, when compared to people actually turning their heads and looking at the visual indicator, which is what you're supposed to do anyway.)
