Do these require a whole new set of wheels?Hankook 235 18's. Very quiet for all terrain tires.
235/60-18 will fit fine on your stock wheels if your car originally had 225/60-18 but it will be slightly larger outside diameter and will deviate more from the spare tire size. Some people get full size spares when they deviate from stock tire size so their spare matches, but in the 2015-2019 Outbacks a full size spare won't fit in the spare tire well.Do these require a whole new set of wheels?
I also had the cross climate 2's installed on my 15 a few days ago. For me are nice and quiet. It downpoured right after I had the tires installed so bad that it disabled the eyesight temporarily and the tires handled phenomenally. Looking forward to testing the snow performance in the winter.Just put on a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires (Discount Tire was running a $150 off Michelin sale). Initial thought is they are considerably quieter than the Bridgestones. I haven't had an opportunity to test them out in any significant weather yet but will update.
The Bridgestones were the factory installed tires and went to nearly 30k miles. Wet weather performance was still acceptable but they were nearing the wear bars and had gotten much noisier as they wore.
Since you didn't say what you're looking for. I bought these Continentals and they are the greatest tires of all time. They are quiet and they get better mileage than the OEM Bridgestones. Continental TrueContact Tour | 225/60R18 (tirerack.com) Your mileage may vary but I like these tires. I get good grip in the wet (downpours at highway speed) or dry roads. They're quiet enough so I can hear the wind noise thru the windows instead of the tire noise and my mileage seems better to me. I've put 6k miles on them but I haven't used them in the snow yet and they have been great. At $155.06 each winner, winner chicken dinner.Time to replace tires and I’m checking what everyone likes.

I considered them when I was shopping but ended up with CC2's. Firestone has some of the lightest tires out there. The LE3 in 225/60/18 is 1lb lighter than the stock Onyx tire and the 235 is the same weight as stock. There are also a couple of good Subaru reviews in snow on Tire Rack.I went with the Firestone Destination LE3's. Had the Avid Ascend GT's as my first replacements. Liked them for the most part.
The LE3's are definitely the quietest of the 3 tires I've had on the OB, and the ride is the smoothest as well. Handles the wet stuff nicely. Had a couple torrential downpours the past month. Felt confident with them.
Had the original LE's on my MDX and liked them. Heard bad things about the LE2 and never considered them. Read good things about the 3's and gave them a chance this go around. Not disappointed. Think they have $100 off on a set right now.

Yeah. I linked to the reviewa in the thread about the guy asking about tires and road noise. Colorado Forrester and outback drivers. Praised in the snow. I was surprised. Didn't pay attention to the weight. Good to know though. The blog reviews seemed to give them good ratings for the ride, rain and snow, so I bit.I considered them when I was shopping but ended up with CC2's. I have about 2k miles on the tires and have some more insights on the Cross Climate 2. I have taken a long highway trip, 500 miles in 2 days, and the highway performance is more stable. There is less wandering than the Bridgestones and the turn in on exits and flyovers is much more direct with the car reacting more consistently to steering input. The 20 mm sway bar that I installed after I picked up the car helped and the new tires helped more. By no means is this a sports car but it is nice have more precise and predictable steering.Just put on a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2 tires (Discount Tire was running a $150 off Michelin sale). Well, they have to learn somewhere.Generally this is not a problem but I took my car in for the 30k service, at my local Subaru dealer, and they rotated the tires with the normal front to back and cross back to front. When you do that the fronts are pointing the wrong way and could be hazardous in the wet since they pump water to the center of the tread. It was easier for me to swap the tires in my garage than go to the dealer but I notified the service rep about it.
