Brembo calipers on a 2020/2021 Onyx?

I am wondering is anyone has done a Brembo upgrade on an Onyx while keeping either a 17 or 18 inch wheel.
(Why am I asking? The wife like to drive very spiritedly and stopping and slowing down is always a plus).
Thanks.
P.S I have not seen a thread for this yet so if there is one Please assist. Thanks.
A plus for pics, details, install and benefits.

That's what I would do ^, much easier, and the main reason, these are not high performance cars. Even on my 05 Legacy GT wagon 5mt, with bigger turbo and upgrades, I still ran stock calipers. The only real issue was the one time on the highway, when I learned about how quick the car went from 60mph to 100mph, and how fast the closing speed was to other cars. Once that lesson was learned, I learned to lift off the throttle sooner. :)

Hasn't someone put on front ascent brakes? They would be more capable for stopping power and pretty much bolt up to our gen 6 outbacks. Yup, found the thread for your reading pleasure.
I didn't go through it all so if you plan on doing it, I highly suggest reading the whole thread. But it appears the backing plates are the same and the calipers will just bolt up no problem. They have much larger rotors as well.

I have the ATS-V setup from CTSVbrakeswap.com that is technically designed for the 22+ WRX. His adapter kit matched the 6th gen perfectly. Only thing I can't answer is how small of a wheel can fit. I'm running 19x8.5

Ascent rear brakes have slightly larger rotors, and different pad material. Appears everything else is the same even down to the pad dimentions.
Ascent.

Honestly if you want to upgrade the brakes the ascent front's are good. But little to no reason to upgrade the rear. you could run the ascent pads I suppose. But for off-roading purposes you want more rubber and smaller wheels. Going to keep my brakes stock cause I like the big meaty tires :)

I have 2008 STI Brembo's on my 2015 Outback 3.6. I'm amazed the stock brakes are so shitty, although its par for the course with Japanese cars.

I can't comment on the OP 2020 Outback to STI brake swap, but I'd dare to say, it's the same thing. STI brakes went to 6 pot in 2019 (I think) and possibly larger rotors.

My swap was STI front calipers, rotors, and pads. The rotors are only 1/2" larger diameter, but made a VERY noticeable difference. You will definitely require STI wheels as the caliper is HUGE! and the offset is needed to clear them. I can post up a picture of how they look.
