Your 2012 CVT is a TR690 that uses CVTF-II (Green) fluid. It's recommended that you use genuine Subaru CVT fluid, or if you can't get it, a CVT fluid that's engineered for specifically that one kind of CVT fluid, not a generic "universal" fluid.
