Hi.
I am a new member but been browsing the forum for a while. I went to subaru dealership in NJ for them to check my cvt pan for possible leaking. The tech confirmed that it is leaking. The service advisor told me that the problem is not covered under extended warranty (100k or 10 years). My 2016 outback only has 56k mileage (6years).
Called SOA, the rep confirmed that the extended warranty is very specific to parts of cvt like the torque converter and the cvt pan is not one of them. But they offered me to pay half of the cost of repair.
Am still pissed off caused that would still cost me back $300. Should I call another rep? Anybody experience this? The 600+ repair cost seems so absurd even if they say they would flush all the fluid.
