Can anyone recommend a really good rear seat cover (for a dog) that fits the new OB's? Something that's not too baggy and still gives access to the child seat achors.

I have a honda crv (waiting for my new OB to arrive). The OB is just an inch wider than my CRV. I love our seat cover. I don't have a a child, but there are seat belt slits in middle of the cover so if the "anchors" are next to seat belt sticking out of the seat, it would work.

I like this one because it's easy to clean and it's waterproof AND reasonably priced. There are elastic straps that go under the seat (you can see it in the picture and then it has these little weights that you push between the cushion to keep it in place. We have bought a few covers and this is one that we never had problems with it slipping out of place or not covering the seat.

Here's the number for the company if you want to ask them: 866-6-SOLVIT (866-676-5848)

^ Looks good, but I forgot to mention I'd like to find something that's black (I've got the black leather interior). I went to Solvit's website and I don't see an option for anything other than that brown-ish/ tan color. But that kind of well made, waterproof, washable cover is exactly what I'm looking for.

I have this cover/hammock, Kurgo Wander Hammock Seat Cover, and these Kurgo Car Door panels . I have the ivory interior and the tan sorta matches up. There are also black colors in each. It isn't the most premium looking set up, but it works well to cover the seats and has the access to the seat belt connections. I also like that I have a way to keep the dogs from climbing up front.

Take a look at Marathon Seat Covers (marathonseatcovers.com). The covers are custom sized for model year and car rather than generic (S,M,L,XL) and they come in an assortment of colors including many camo patterns. The seat covers are very durable and provide protection from wet dogs. You can order a set for the entire car or just the front or just the rear seats.

I had a set in my last Subaru that lasted 7 years and I just purchased a new set for my new to me 2012 Outback.

My wife has the kurgo cover in her car...not the hammock style, but the one in the photo you posted. I don't like it because the part that covers the corner of the seat keeps coming up. We have to constantly pull it back down over the corner when the dogs are in the backseat. It's a pain in the butt. I would love the solvit cover for hers but the way the seats come down, I can't really place the elastic strap under the corner of the seat. The Kurgo cover works in a way that you pull the cover over the corners. In terms of durability, it's a good one and it cleans easy too.

The hammock style might work though as I'm assuming you wouldn't have to pull the cover over the corner of the seat

I know it's not exactly what you want, but we've found that those UHaul pads, grey and blue, made from wool/denim work really well when tucked in and the ISO fittings can be carefully cut through....used them in the OB, Forester ....if the dog gets muddy, splash out on a new one......I needed a use for the pile we used in a recent move....they also serve as trunk liners? - Anyone in SE S Dakota welcome to collect a few free.

So I had this Solvit "deluxe" seat cover in my STI and it worked really well. The seats looked like new underneath with the exception of a little sand that worked its way in the seat belt holes - but otherwise the thing kept mud, sand, slobber, hair and even unfortunately blood (dog got bit at the beach) off the difficult to clean alcantara seats. Once every six months I would just take it out, give it a good shake and put it back in good as new.

Sadly, it is not working in my Outback. It just barely fits and when the dog jumps in the back, it comes un-tucked and slides around on the leather. By the end of the trip it is just bunched up in the back of the seat.

I was thinking of getting this 4Knines Fitted Seat Cover. I see at least one other person has it. How does it fit? Photos? Does the non-slip backing really work well?

So we purchased the split seat version of that for our 2016 OB. It fits well and offers good coverage. We purchased it for the use of the kids rather than our dog, one is in a booster and the other in a forward-facing seat carseat.

We have the regular size, it fits perfectly in width. We did not get the hammock option. The only gripe we seem to have is when utilizing a carseat (using the ANCHOR system), a booster seat, and an adult occupant. The seat belt clips are access via a velcro opening which appears a bit small when using two seat belts and the ANCHOR connections. Buckling up takes more coordination and time than normal, a minute compared to seconds. We are not real sure if the action of buckling is hard due to the three people, combined with the stiff bulkiness of a baby carseat, or not.

The non-slip texture on the back works really well, too.

I purchased this Krunco cover from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HI762M8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a little big for the OB but it's made well and has slide flaps so the entire back seat is protected. I bought another brand seat cover from Amazon prior to the Krunco and my 55lbs pit bull ripped it where the front straps attach to the cover the first week. No problems with the Krunco after 2 months.

Any other ideas for back seat cover (dog and/or child seat) to fit a 2017 OB Limited with Ivory leather? Just starting to shop. Thanks

The hammock style works for us. We have one sold by Orvis, too $$$, I'm sure. Like one of the ones on the orvis dot com traveling-with-dogs page. Padded, quilted velour, as quick-buckles for each headrest, straps are all adjustable, has pass-thrus for seat belts. I can deploy it in about a minute. I've no idea how it compares, but it seems pretty well made.

Wow, old thread back from the dead.
I bought the 4Knines - nice at first but I can no longer recommend it. I posted a lengthy review on Amazon.
Basically, the non-slip material on the back has broken down in less than a year. It leaves your seats covered in little rubber crumbs that are a nightmare to clean up.
Also, the stitching around the velcro closures is coming undone.
I had a cheaper cover from Amazon that held up much better despite its short comings (it didn't cover the sides and it would slide around a lot).

Hello,
I don't own one yet, but since all of the auto makers' fabrics are staining, I am preparing for options.

If you don't mind the look, a cheap option is to use a waterproof bed mattress cover (ultimately disposable or washable). Cut slots in it for your belts and anchor points. Adding tie down points is not difficult, just copy others.

However, if you care about your animals, as is intimated, protect your family member by putting it in a crate. That is the only place that it is going to be protected in an accident. And don't forget to anchor that crate as you would heavy cargo.
