searching around, I see several product names being used on different sites, some offering several products and I wonder if they have split up the OEM manual into different portions? :

2022 Subaru Outback Service and Repair Manual

2022 Subaru Outback diagnostic manual
2022 Subaru Outback repair manual + wiring diagrams

so service, repair, diagnostic, wiring are differentiated. Does the OEM download include all of those?
Would you expect the first named to have everything in the second seller's catalog?

There is no OEM download, Subaru's Tech site is to be considered a read-only viewing site with a subscription fee.

The places who sell the FSM just scrape the info from the Tech site and condense it into one massive PDF (which you can do yourself if you want). I broke mine up into the individual sections because it's a mess otherwise.

Service & Repair are the same thing.

To clarify, people who sell the FSM are violating Subaru's copyright, i.e., stealing, and why the files cannot be posted on this site.

Agreed...but it's nothing you can't do yourself, if you have the time an ability to download everything. You're paying a third party to do the job for you.

That said, I don't feel bad doing it, at all. I think it's crummy that automakers don't offer a reasonably priced download for personal use - I'm not a business, I'm not making money repairing my car, so forcing me to pay such a high price for as long as I own the car fee is asinine. I'd happy pay $150 for a personal owner copy if it were offered, but it's not, so third party it is.

not everyone has internet access at their car, or the tech ability to turn the data into a PDF or other offline-readable format. More & more states are passing Right To Repair laws, which mandate reasonable access to all technical documents. A site that performs that service, by me paying the Subaru fee thru them, and they turning the download into a file, would be a valid business.

Everyone has the right to name a third party to act as their agent in financial transactions.
