Hi All,

I'm pretty sure these are the front control arm bushings, and they look a little bit cracked (just like normal old rubber).

Should I be worried?

not sure about your pic specifically, but Subaru issued a TSB basically telling people not to worry about cracks in the rear bushing of the front lower control arm.

certainly if the bushing is split/destroyed allowing clunking or excessive movement - that would be a problem.

Most noticeable early symptoms:

Heavy clunk heard/felt on ordinary-looking road defects

Extra steering effort required during hard braking- the car feels "squirmy" and you have to fight to hold a straight line when it should be effortless or at least subconscious.

It can look bad all it wants, but until you get one of these symptoms it probably isn't worth worrying about.
