Do you own a Honda, Hyundai, Kia or Subaru vehicle that is less than five years old? Your vehicle may be collecting sensitive personal information about you and selling it to third parties.

Has your insurance increased ? I don't know about you but my insurance keeps increasing
Class action lawsuit

I seen this last week on Torque news but wasn't going to do anything about it till I got my insurance bill today showing an increase again like 6 months ago it did it again there's got to be an answer to this billing sure I live in NY and was reading another AD saying insurance is increasing because of the dense population is why insurance is going up anyway I put in for it to see if they are tracking me if they are and doing it illegally well we'll see

Switched to State Farm from Geico little over 3 years ago because they were cheaper. My rates have more than doubled in that time. Of course I get the old line for State Farm that its not them, its the car theft rate, or some minnesota new tax, or because the sun rises in the east.

Governor and insurance commissioner in Calif. recently allowed vehicle insurance to increase up to 65% , and Geico agent confirmed that. My motorcycles policy renewed and increased 45% for no other reason than because the can! This will likely price many people out of insurance and lead to more uninsured drivers. Wrong logic, but that seems standard here now days.

I stopped by Geico this morning to get a quote on a 2024 Ascent Touring white with Java seats same as my 2022 outback Touring and he quoted me $93 more to keep the same insurance I now have on my outback and to put it on the Ascent I asked how's that are you sure he said he'd put that in my file and keep it there
How can that be ? maybe i'm paying for my driving that maybe monitored ? just saying

Not surprising a 2024 Accent is more expensive for insurance than a 2022 Outback.
- Accent is more expensive.

I have been with the same insurance company for decades. I purchased a 2024 OBW and the insurance was more expensive for the same coverage I had on my 2016 Nissan Frontier Pro4X, but not out of line. I expected the newer vehicle to cost more for insurance that my older vehicle.

When I bought my 2021 Outback Premium new, the insurance was the cheapest of our 4 cars and still is. In the actual policy it lists a half page of discounts related to Eyesight and Starlink and other safety/security features.

But for the Ascent it's only $93.00 more for the 2024 Ascent ( I really don't know how'll they're figuring this in) I have the 2022 Outback Touring IMO it should be like $2-300 more for the Ascent but it wasn't when I went from a 2020 outback to this 2022 my insurance went up about $100
I think these insurance companies are taking advantage of insurers they know they can do it and we can't do anything about

Since the pandemic, people are driving noticeably worse and having significantly more accidents. Inflation, supply chain problems, and increased labor costs mean repairs cost more. Add legalized marijuana to the mix. On top of that, climate change is causing more weather damaged cars. It's no mystery why insurance rates have gone up.

My whole point is my car is getting older and every 6 months my insurance goes up for none of my doing to keep my insurance down I do the 3 year 6 hour class every 3 years only to get the 10% discount I even cut down on some of the coverage to adjust my cars age and their insurance rates going up " Maybe they are buying peoples driving data"

I don’t entirely believe data collection is responsible for increased insurance rates.

I usually go rate shopping every 18mo of so. Most insurance companies will bait people into switching with low rates and constantly increase them. It’s the frog in a pot way of doing business.

While I’m not happy about my location data being shared by default, insurance companies are scumbags are constantly play games with their customers.
