Hi All,
Like many, I was not happy with the bleep of the OEM horns. With the help of the great tutorials on this site, I removed one OEM horn and added two Hella Supertones. The sound is much better.
But, I want an even louder sound! I've bought 4-tone GM horns (4 horns) and plan to wire them to a momentarily switch as an auxiliary horn. Here's what I'm trying to do. How To Make Your Car Sound Like a Freight Train
My current set-up is seen in the first picture. The second photo is how I'd like to mount the new horns--four across (note: the supertones will be removed and replaced with the two additional GM horns). The yellow bar will be aluminum stock and I'll bolt the horns to this. My question: Will this arrangement affect the cooling ability of the radiator? I've had no problem with the supertones, but obviously I'll be doubling the number of horns close to the radiator. There will be about a 1.5" gap between the horns and radiator.
Thanks for any help.
