I need to get an idea of how much it should cost to replace one rear CV axle shaft.
Parts range from $163 - $233 if I am looking at the right part.
hours to replace (labor) range from 1.5 - 3 I am curious what a trained tech hourly rate would be.
My last question is how would the exhaust be shoved up against the axle to rub on the axle to cause damage.
The last service prior to this problem was new tires - so I am suspicious of how the car went on the lift and if it was lifted by mistake on the exhaust and not the frame.
IS this even a possibility?
