Hi All
My 2018 3.6 Limited was totaled and I'm going to replace it with another 2018/19. I was thinking of adding the Touring OBs to broaden my search. I know the Touring OBs have a different roof rack and a heated steering wheel. But what are the other differences?

Thanks

B

  • Brown leather interior only
  • touring brown trimmed floor mats
  • chrome trimmed switches (window controls, ac vents)
  • piano black interior stuff
  • chrome accents outside car (outback lettering on plastic side cladding, on door handles, chrome strip above lower cladding on doors)
  • dark gray touring grille, wheels are a dark gray paint, not black like the limited.
  • all optional package items for a limited are standard, so LED headlights, eyesight, reverse automatic braking, high beam assist, led turn signals in the mirrors and so on).
  • other little accessories were standard like the rear bumper protector, cargo cover..
  • All four windows are auto up/down

Oh, that brochure reminded me… the pretend wood trim stuff in the touring is slightly different. A shade darker and the grain looks different.

In 2019 eyesight was standard, but I was basing it off of what you had, the 2018. Still whatever packages were optional on a limited in 2019 were standard on the touring. There were no optional packages for features in 2018/2019 touring models, they were all accessory packages.

That’s something to think about when searching and comparing features on used cars.

For what it's worth, I heard the seated steering wheel isn't good because it only heats at two small areas on the wheel. Also I have a neighbor that has an '18 Touring 3.6, and my '17 Limited crossbars (bulkier ones) look better in my opinion. The leather is either love the color or hate it. It could be defined as a creamy milk chocolate seats, or poop brown. Really depends on personal taste. I doubt the quality of the leather is any better than what's on the Limited.

I've driven cars (and a semi tractor) with heated wheels, and put heated grips on two of my old GoldWing motorcycles, and I do love 'em. When I got my car, I admit to lusting in my heart after the heated steering wheel option on the Touring, even so far as researching how expensive/annoying/impractical it would be to get the parts from SoA and install it myself on Wanderlust.
Glad I didn't fall down that rabbit hole, having read how meh it actually appears to perform. I spent a twentieth of the money on a decent pair of leather driving gloves instead, and I think I came out better off.

YMMV, of course... And I'm not saying I'd shun the heated wheel if the Limited came with it. But since it doesn't... Well...

I absolutely love the heated wheel in my 2021 Touring. I opted for the Touring over the other models as I am at the age where it's nice to be "coddled" with the luxury stuff. I also wanted a moon roof (and NAV), so the Touring fit my desires. Got it for a good price before all of the chip and vehicle supply issues hit home.
