Hi guys,
this is for any gen 3 OBX a H6 gen 3. I just replaced the hose that returns to the bottom of the radiator and reused the clamps as they were in good condition. But it was very hard to get the clamps into position. Looks to me like the clamps are smaller than they should.

Here is the clamp installed:

Is that how your clamp looks like? Notice the very short distance between the clamp tabs.

Thanks

The clamps are very strong so no need to replace unless they are the wrong size. I'm not the original owner and previous mechanics did a lot of s**** work that I had to fix so they might used the wrong size clamps. I also need to get the car on the road ASAP. If the clamps are the right size there is no point on waiting for replacements.

So the question: are these the right clamps for that hose? Do they look the same in your car?
I checked and all gen 3 OBX use the same clamps for lower return hose to radiator, so can you take a look under your car and let me know?

My relevant parts were replaced a few years back while I had the timing belt redone so I have a worm gear clamp on mine.
I would say if you got it on and it is holding the hose, than size matters not. (I know how that sounds😶)
I would be more concerned with is the hose being held on under pressure, in which case too big of a clamp would not do the job.
