If you look at the top mount bracket there is a 90° cut out. Subaru put that there on purpose just to get the motor mount out. You still have to jack up the engine to get it lifted up enough to where you can lift the old mount out, pivot it and then put the new one in.

You're going to have to wrench the nuts off at the bottom. When you go back in with the new one put the inside nut on and tighten it down first. It will give you a little extra room to move your wrench. A ratchet head wrench works good.

Was not too bad to get them in. Moving the steering wheel to the side makes enough clearance to get a socket in to get at the lower nuts. If you screw out the top post of the mount it is easy to slide in with the engine jacked up.
